A Simp is someone who shows excessive sympathy and attention toward another person, typically to someone who does not reciprocate the same feelings, in pursuit of affection or a sexual relationship.

Why this is a problem?

The problem occurs when a male or female receives excessive attention, boosting their ego. Making them believe they are a highly attractive person, while the real numbers are way lower than that number. It prevents them from pursuing any efforts to develop their personality and improve their overall attitude towards life. On the other side, the simp itself is most likely gonna be taken advantage of.
