How to treat women properly
How to show respect
What does it mean to be respectful to women? To respect a woman means to treat her with kindness, understanding, and appreciation. It involves valuing her as an individual with her thoughts, feelings, and desires.
Personal Hygiene
Women's sense of smell is a lot more sensitive than men's. Take a shower and brush your teeth before approaching your partner, even at home, regardless of whether you intend to have an intimate moment. Even if you are just sitting across the dining table, make sure you smell and look good. It is a sign of being respectful to someone to present yourself tidy when talking to them.
Listening Properly
Give her your full attention and genuinely consider her opinions, thoughts, and emotions.
- Put away your phone when she is talking
- Look at her eyes when she is talking to you
- Listen first before you share your own opinion
- Don't be nonchalant; express your opinion about what she said.
- Don't cut off mid-sentence when they are talking
- Focus on the point they are trying to make rather than preparing your response.
Equality
Treating her as an equal partner in the relationship, making joint decisions, and respecting her autonomy and independence. Neither of you should be competitive or submissive to the other.
Don't resort to violence, no matter what
If she disrespected you, yelled at you, or physically harmed you. Don't retaliate by causing physical or emotional violence, Some women use tactics like provoking a reaction and then playing the victim. They will then use your reaction to invoke their rights like Violence Against Women ( or similar laws in other countries ). Suddenly, you are the abuser, and she is the victim once you react violently. Don't fall into this trap.
What you can do instead is to make a recording of the abuse and collect as much evidence as you can. Show this to your partner when things have calmed down, and clearly point out that you can't keep the abuse happening. If she keeps crossing your boundaries, it is time to leave.
